Governance
Protocol Governance
A transparent treasury, a security reserve, and a governed path to an SNS DAO.
How decisions are made
- Upgrades and parameter changes go through a 2-of-3 governance multi-sig.
- The multi-sig is the founder plus two independent keys.
- Fees are set. Changes need a vote and are capped per change.
- A public proposal feed and time-delay are on the roadmap.
Control today
- Pause deposits or spends
- Governance or the operator.
- Unpause
- The operator only.
- Total-value threshold
- 60,000,000 STSH, governance-set. The level at which governance and operations act; not a hard cap enforced in the canister.
Treasury
The protocol treasury supports long-term development, future SNS/DAO governance, reviews, grants, integrations, operations, and controlled liquidity programs. The treasury canister is an accounting view over pool-held reserves and does not custody protocol tokens itself.
Security & Recovery Reserve
A capped, STSH-denominated backstop for bounded accounting or proof-system incidents affecting pool liabilities. It is not an unlimited guarantee and does not insure market value. Claims are assessed in STSH, subject to the available reserve and a governance vote. It never collateralises pools.
Treasury Discipline
Reserves may be diversified over time using protocol-earned fees and voted treasury actions: gradual, transparent, slippage-limited, and capped relative to market liquidity. The protocol does not conduct discretionary market dumping.
Fees
0.25% on shield and 0.25% on a public payout, each with a 2.5 STSH minimum; 2.5 STSH for a private spend. Public STSH transfers carry no pool fee. Changes need a vote and are capped per change.
Supply is fixed at genesis, with no emissions. Public staking comes later.
